I wasn’t sure about this purchase. I bought these chairs to use with my inside dining room table. The box is large, but I was able to finagle it into my apt even though I am a small sized grandma. The rattan look- but with sturdy synthetic materials! Each chair comes in two pieces- the rattan piece and the base. To assemble you use 4 bolts (included) to attach the seat to the base- that’s it- you’re done. It only took minutes to put two chairs together. I was also unsure about the comfort of these chairs. The pad looked skimpy and I was worried the pattern on the chairs would be uncomfortable. The pad works great and they are indeed comfortable. I decided if, in the future the pad became uncomfortable, it would simple to upgrade the cushions. The back is angled back a bit more than a typical dining chair, perfect for lingering at the table for enjoyable conversation. The look achieved by adding these chairs- an updated Boho chic. I am so happy with this purchase, I ordered another set
